Cristiano Ronaldo hit a brace as Juventus beat AS Roma 2-0 at home to stay in touch with the top two teams.

Juventus are third on the league standings behind the Milan duo of AC Milan and Inter Milan. The win over AS Roma ensured that Juventus remain seven points behind league leaders AC Milan having played a game less. The Old Lady will play Napoli at home in their rescheduled game in the coming weeks to have a chance of closing the gap on the Milan teams. A win over Napoli will take Juventus to within four points of AC Milan and two points off Inter Milan.

Cristiano Ronaldo will have to fend off the quartet of RomeluLukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ciro Immobile and Luis Muriel if he wants to win the Golden Boot. Inter Milan striker Lukaku, AC Milan talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lazio star Ciro Immobile are all on 14 goals, while Atalanta forward Luis Muriel is on 12 goals.
