RONALDO SCORES LANDMARK HAT-TRICK AGAINST NORWICH

Five-time Ballon D’or recipient Cristiano Ronaldo was at his best as he helped Manchester United see off Norwich City at home. The Portuguese football icon was the star of the show as the Red Devils secured a morale-boosting win at the expense of bottom club Norwich City at the end of their Premier League encounter at Old Trafford on Saturday. Cristiano Ronaldo scored three goals to lead Manchester United to a 3-2 victory over Norwich City and take his career hat-trick tally to 60.


Manchester United came into the Norwich City game on the back of a two-game winless run in the league and a three-game winless run in all competitions. The Red Devils were able to end their winless run thanks to the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Continue reading

SON CLOSESSCORING GAP ON SALAH

Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min has closed the gap on Mohamed Salah on the list of the Premier League goalscorers after his two-goal performance against London rivals West Ham United over the weekend. Son Heung-Min was the star of the show as he scored twice either side of the half-time interval to lead Tottenham Hotspur to a 3-1 home win over the Hammers. The win was very important in their quest to finish in the top four places on the Premier League log at the end of the season.


Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah is the overwhelming favourites to win the Premier League Golden Boot this season after scoring 20 goals. Ahead of the just concluded weekend, Salah had seven goals more than the nearest challenger Diogo Jota who’s his teammate at Liverpool. Continue reading

RONALDO TARGET END TO MINI-LEAGUE DROUGHT

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo definitely has eyes on getting back amongst the goals once again in the Premier League when his Manchester United side take on West Ham United at Old Trafford on Saturday. Cristiano Ronaldo was an angry man when he was taken off with around twenty (20) minutes to go during the league win over newcomers Brentford earlier this week in what was a rescheduled match.

Cristiano Ronaldo was not able to score while he was on the pitch against the Bees on his return from a muscle injury and the Portugal international felt he had time to get at least one goal only for him to be subbed off for club skipper Harry Maguire. Manchester United were leading 2-0 when Ronaldo left the pitch thanks to the second half goals from Anthony Elanga and Mason Greenwood. English substitute Marcus Rashford scored a third goal for United shortly after coming on around the same time as the Ronaldo substitution before Brentford striker Ivan Toney scored a consolation goal for the London team with five minutes remaining for a 3-1 scoreline.

QATAR 2022: KANE LEADS SCORING CHART

England striker Harry Kane is the now the leading goalscorerin the European section of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament after his four-goal performance against San Marino on Monday night. The Spurs striker was on eight goals before the San Marino game thanks to his treble against Albania on Friday.

Kane scored four times in the first half to take his tally to 12 goals and one ahead of former leader Memphis Depay. Barcelona attacker Depay is on 11 goals and he has the chance to draw level with Kane or move ahead of him when the Netherlands take on Norway at home on Tuesday night in what’s their final World Cup qualifier in Group G.Depay and the Netherlands need a point to seal their place at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament as Group I winners ahead of nearest challengers Turkey and Norway.

RONALDO: BARREN LEAGUE RUN CONTINUES

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League once again after his Manchester United side suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of their hosts, Leicester City at the weekend. In one of the standout games for the eighth round of the new Premier League campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United were undone by two late goals from the Foxes as the Red Devils lost further grounds on the top three teams namely Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester United this season on the back of his transfer from Italian Serie A giants Juventus and he marked the first game of his second spellwith a brace against Newcastle United. The Portuguese international scored twice either side of the half-time break to lead Manchester United to a 4-1 home win over the Magpies.

UNITED CONFIRM RONALDO, CAVANI SHIRT NUMBERS

Former European champions Manchester United have confirmed the shirt numbers for both Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani. The Premier League giants revealed the jersey numbers for the two players towards the end of last week.


It has been confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will take the number seven (7) shirt from Uruguayan striker Cavani following his return to the club before the transfer window ended. Cavani was the recipient of the number seven (7) shirt before Ronaldo’s arrival at Old Trafford for the second time in his career. Continue reading

RONALDO TO RECEIVEPAOLO ROSSI

Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo will receive the maiden Paolo Rossi award for his exploits in the Italian Serie A last season. The Portuguese international would be awarded the accolade for finishing as the highest goalscorer in the Italian top flight last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo emerged as the Capocannoniere at the end of the 2020/21 Serie A season after netting 29 times. He finished as the topscorer in the Italian Serie A ahead of other challengers like Inter Milan striker RomeluLukaku, Fiorentina attacker DusanVlahovic, Atlanta forward Luis Muriel and many more.

RONALDO EQUALS GOALSCORING RECORD

Portuguese national team skipper Cristiano Ronaldo has equalled the record for the most goals scored in men’s international football after he found the back of the net twice in the 2-2 draw between his team and France in a Group F clash at the Euro 2020 tournament.

Ronaldo came into the game with 107 goals on the international scene after a return of three goals in the first two games at Euro 2020. He scored two goals in the 3-0 thumping of Hungary in the first game of the tournament for European champions Portugal. The Portuguese team scored all the three goals in the final six minutes of the match with the Hungarians. Cristiano Ronaldo added a brace to the opening goal from left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

RONALDO ANONYMOUS IN BIG JUVENTUS DEFEAT

Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily criticised this season for his ineffectiveness in the big games this season and this continued during the huge clash with rivals AC Milan in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the man who took the most  criticism on the back of Juventus’ early exit in the Champions League as he was largely anonymous in both legs against Portuguese giants FC Porto. Ronaldo failed to score in the two legs as his team exited the competition via the away goals rule at the hands of Porto.

Although it seems more impossible than possible, the rumors linking Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with a return to his former club Manchester United continue to linger on. Being one of the greatest ever players in the game, Ronaldo has traveled across different clubs in Europe and has conquered the different leagues he has been to.
