Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Agrees To Give €19 Million Penalty In Order To Settle The Case Of Tax Fraud

The footballer of Portugal and Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, has finally accepted a penalty and as a result suspended a jail term which was awarded to him for the fraud of tax in Spain, signing a contract in order to settle a dispute which will cost him around a total of €18.8m.

Cristiano Ronaldo who is now 33 years old is not likely to serve any of the time in prison as the punishment/sentence was supposed to be within a threshold of 2 years that can also be served on the basis of probation under the law of Spain. Cristiano smiled at the journalists when he walked past them but didn’t say anything in Madrid when he was going with his Spanish girlfriend named Georgina Rodriguez.

Under the law of Spain, as a first criminal can serve anything less than a sentence of 2 years under the term of probation, Cristiano will not have to go to prison. The appearance in Court is expected to be of short term. And the officials of the court say that the player will only have to affirm that he has now accepted the deal.

Earlier, the former teammate of Ronaldo at the Real Madrid, named Xabi Alonso, walked in the court to face his own case of fraud of case with both of his hands in his pockets of the suit. His response to the questions of journalists was “Yes, all good”. Cristiano was compelled to enter the court and only through the front door because his request for VIP security measures in order to avoid the spotlight was refused by the court on Monday.

In the year 2017, Cristiano denied the allegation that he voluntarily used a structure of business in order to hide income that his picture rights generated in Spain between the year 2011 and 2014.
