RONALDO COMPLAINING OF LOW QUALITY PLAYERS AT MADRID

Cristiano Ronaldo is complaining of the quality of players now in the Real Madrid setup. The top Spanish side under the management of Zinedine Zidane decided not to spend money on reinforcements after achieving consistent successes in the league and on the continent.

Madrid won three Champions League titles out of possible four and then capped it with actually winning the La Liga after coming close the previous year. Now it is almost certain that Barcelona would run away with the La Liga title and they have reinforced to become a major threat in Europe.

CRISTIANO RONALDO AUCTIONS BALLON D’OR AWARD

Real Madrid superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo has auctioned off one of his five Ballon d’Or awards at a charity auction. The Portuguese skipper let the prized award go for £600,000 at a charity auction. The Euro 2016 star made the gesture so funds can be made from the replica for Make-A-Wish charity, according to reports.

The charity is keen on helping kids fight life threatening issues. Ronaldo has won the award five times, the first in 2008 and then in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017. The player asked that his 2013 replica be auctioned off to help the charity in their work. Reports claim he specifically asked that the 2013 replica be used – the first one he received upon moving to Spain after winning the first while at Old Trafford.

RONALDO WANTS NEW PLAYERS

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo wants the club to strengthen their ranks in the forthcoming winter window. The club is well off its usual pace in the La Liga though they maintain a decent form in Europe, where they are record back to back champions.

The Portuguese has been rumoured to have met with Ligue 1 giants PSG ahead of a possible move. Madrid’s open flirting with Neymar, his lower pay compared to the Brazilian and Lionel Messi, current form, possible change of environment or just a hint to his current employers – all these have been given as reasons for the secret meeting with PSG.
