Ronaldo was impressive in the 2020 calendar year despite the suspension of sports, scoring 25 goals in 25 games, only behind Robert Lewandowski who scored the same amount of goals but in four games less. Ciro Immobile outscored him season-wide to win the Golden Boot award in the Serie A.
The Netherlands international has spent the last nine months in Turin following a £77m move from Ajax, where de Ligt – together with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong – was the star of Erik ten Hag’s side that reached the Champions League semi-finals. The young Ajax side saw off Real Madrid and Juventus on their way to the semi final. They won the first leg of the semi final against Tottenham Hotspur before Spurs turned the game around in the second leg.


Ronaldo has always seen his moving around and yet being successful as a thing of pride. With Juventus’ continental success a priority this term, afterwards the Portuguese would likely be looking at his next move.
